RCD Mallorca V Real Madrid – Away Win
Real Madrid have come in for plenty of justifiable criticism recently, yet the fact remains that they are the only unbeaten team in La Liga this season, winning five of their eight fixtures. Newly-promoted Mallorca have found the going much tougher at this elite level of the Spanish game, suffering five defeats in eight matches and failing to score on five occasions.
Alaves V Celta Vigo – Under 2.5 Goals
If recent La Liga matches are anything to go by, then Celta Vigo clearly love a contest featuring under 2.5 goals, as this has been the case in each of their previous seven fixtures. Alaves home games have followed a similar pattern in the top-flight of late, with 13 of their last 17 encounters also delivering no more than a couple of successful strikes.
Köln V Paderborn – Over 2.5 Goals
These two sides were promoted together last season, with runners-up Paderborn twice getting the better of champions Köln, 5-3 on the road and 3-2 on their own patch. In fact, high-scoring league games have been the order of the day for both teams recently, with over 2.5 goals being served up in 14 of the hosts’ last 20 fixtures and in 14 of the visitors’ previous 17.
Tondela V Benfica – Away Win
To say that Benfica have been in impressive form on their top-flight travels would be somewhat of an understatement, with the Portuguese giants currently on a 12-match winning run. Tondela have found life somewhat more difficult on their own patch at this level of late, suffering three defeats in five games against teams with no realistic designs on the title.

Girona V Elche – Under 2.5 Goals
When Elche take to the field in Spanish free football’s second tier, exciting encounters rarely follow, with each of their previous eight games delivering no more than a couple of goals. Girona have not exactly been pulling up any trees on that front themselves at home recently, as 12 of their last 18 league fixtures have also been of the under 2.5 goals variety.
Rochdale V Accrington Stanley – BTTS - Yes
Accrington Stanley are rarely involved in dull games at League One level, with both teams hitting the back of the net in 11 of their previous 14 contests. Fellow-strugglers Rochdale have featured in three such encounters in their last four matches, whilst the fact that they have conceded 15 times in five fixtures of late suggests that they are vulnerable defensively.
Coventry City V Tranmere Rovers – Home Win
Swapping the Ricoh Arena for St. Andrew’s has done little to dampen Coventry’s impressive recent home record in League One, with Mark Robins’ charges winning five of their last six games as part of a nine-match unbeaten run. Tranmere, by way of contrast, have struggled massively on the road following promotion, securing just one point from a possible 15.
Huesca V Racing Santander – Home Win
Irrespective of which division they have been operating in, Huesca have been performing extremely well on their own patch of late, winning six of their previous eight games. The home side will be confident of collecting another three points against struggling Racing Santander, with the newly-promoted outfit triumphing just once in ten attempts this term.
